WHAT CAN I EXPECT ON MY FIRST VISIT?

spineOn your first visit, we gather information about you and your problem through examination and consultation. The X-Rays that we may take, help to detect any structural abnormalities such as scoliosis (spinal curvature), and any subluxation damage.

We can then determine whether your case comes within the care offered through our integrated postural therapy clinics, and the corrective treatment tailored for you.

When it comes to your health, we don't guess!

RETURN TO HEALTH

Once we identify your problem, we will explain it to you and arrange a treatment program with you.

Chiropractic treatment includes Adjustments, which are applied to your spine to allow it to move and function to its greatest capacity. The adjustments are designed to relieve short term pain, and most importantly, to correct the core problem to avoid repeat discomfort.

These adjustments are safe, non-invasive, non-surgical and drug-free, a totally natural way of assisting your body to break bad habits and return to maximum health. The adjustments involve retraining the spine, its muscles, and ligaments. This is a slow process, and when coupled with the stress of day-to-day activity, you will understand why it is necessary to have repeated adjustments over a carefully planned treatment schedule.

Due to the changes we are making, it is not uncommon to feel some soreness after the initial adjustments. This is a normal reaction of the body to the healing process.

 HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?stones

This varies according to the nature of the problem but usually results are evident within the first few treatments  within the first couple of weeks and then a maintenance schedule of monthly or quarterly visits is sufficient to keep you well. Many of us have grown up in a culture that encourages expectation of a "quick fix", of taking a pill which alleviates symptoms of pain but does not treat the underlying cause. Chiropractic focuses on treating the cause of a problem which may sometimes have built over many years and is only now presenting as physical pain. Committing to a program of treatment including stretches and exercises agreed to will enable you to maximize the results you receive from your care with us.

Naturally, we monitor your progress over the course of the treatment. We may increase or decrease the frequency of your appointments, depending upon how well you are responded.
