Recruitment Workshops –

Most managers agree that it is critical to have good staff in order to secure strong results. Yet little training goes into ensuring Managers have the skills to find the staff they need. This training can be offered as individual or group workshops and will improve your recruitment and selection process, be it internal or external. Your participants will learn how to:

  • Build Competency-based Job Descriptions,
  • Conduct effective candidate sourcing strategies including ad-writing and using the internet to attract the best;
  • Effective assessment and screening techniques;
  • Leveraging Recruiters,
  • Conduct effective competency-based interviews.

Your attendees will be asked to bring "live" examples of positions you are currently or will eventually need to either review or recruit. In a practical, hands-on approach, we will apply job profiling, ad-writing, interviewing and assessing techniques to your immediate or anticipated recruitment and performance appraisal needs. Having had good results as a chiropractic patient of Dr Tuchin’s, I was very interested to hear that he and his Health Services Group co-director, Tessa Marshall, regularly conduct talks and seminars for teachers’ Professional Development days on spinal health and emotional health in the workplace.

 

I invited them to address my team, the Abbotsleigh Boarding Staff, for our recent PD day and was very pleased with the professional, interactive and highly interesting nature of both their sessions.

 

Peter did a very practical (and often humorous) demonstration on looking after the spinal health of our staff and our boarders as well as providing great tips on lifting techniques, ergonomics and posture. Tessa conducted a  “hands-on” session covering working as a team, listening skills, professional communication and conflict resolution.

 

The feedback from my team was that they found both sessions very enjoyable and judging from the comments at the end, I think we were all left champing at the bit to apply something new we have learnt straight away in our daily roles!”
